So I, like mostly like everyone else, got a good “o dam son” moment from every revelation.

I like to examine this stuff so here I go on the forums instead of the review section because how more the merrier.

NOTIC: I’m doing this from the perspective om someone like Harper. Not us the readers that knows everything.

      The reaper on Khar’shan:
First this is by far the most RELEVANT revelation. The second and third, in comparison aren’t really.

A dead reaper has been on Khar’shan for years now. It means that in all likely hood the whole dam hegemony is indoctrinated. At least, that would be my conclusion if I was Cerberus.

Just think about that, the reaper not only have the collectors, but a in likely hood a whole race of indoctrinated cronies. I was amazed no one flipped at this one.

This getting out into the public:
      Good and bad things.

First off, the whole of the council is aware of the threat. Bad thing is that the SA will receive some hassel of not planning this WITH the council, but with the dirt that Udina has… well it would be insignificant.

But the good thing is, batarians are indoctrinated unless proven otherwise. It’s a too big a threat to not investigate.

      The salarian/Asari BS
Frankly, too high level espionage people already knew about this. This information doesn’t REALLy chance anything. At best it gives Harper some blackmail material.

This getting out into the public:
Salarians vs the galaxy is my take on it. The salarians are clearly in the wrong in the video. +Thessial says “going against the Thirty”. It clears the Thirty in a immediate way.

      Side note:
Don’t you just hate that both don’t even consider humans becoming a power own their own.

Victor Manswell isn’t a nice guy
Well color me shocked. Good blackmail material. It helps our protagonist later on, but isn’t really relevant.

This getting out into the public:
      Hell on earth, again.

I agree that the riots wouldn’t end.

      I’ll add my two cents.

I think the order in which those files are revealed should be different:

      1. Victor Manswell and his machinations should be the first thing covered. Yes, it’s bad but in the end that’s in the past and the SA and Sara should focus on other things.

      2. Salarians and asari rank stupidity should be next. Again, it’s very damning, but by now spy agencies know everyone is out to get everyone. The only things that gets me here is complete disregard of humanity. Muvai obviously forgot the part where humans will start ramming their ships at FTL into salarian worlds in retaliation. I wasn’t very impressed with Mordin’s sister.

      3. This should be the last thing revealed and used to leave us shocked and worried. Reapers are THE THREAT. They are here to end all life. Them finding out the Hegemony has a Reaper corpse should be a HOLY FUCK! moment of utter horror and despair. We’re talking about billions of soldiers ready to sow chaos across the galaxy. It’s that bad. Yet, this gets lampshaded by Victor by the end of the chapter.

Each of those three things in the graybox is bad and damning but I think Harper and Shepard completely missed the point here.

What Victor did is criminal and unforgivable but c’mon. Reapers. I’m surprised Vigil didn’t pop up to mock them about perspective and priorities.

Actually, now that I think about it. There will be an epic bait-and-switch plot point. Everyone will think batarians and get Reapers when in fact it’s Leviathans.

Did I not say it would involve trolling at it’s finest!?

A lot of what you two bring up I will incorporate into the next chapter. Shepard FINALLY stops fiddling around and tosses in with the Dog.

The point that really bothers me is that it’s just dismissed out of hand. No one takes the time to think: We’ve gone from a elite force of reaper agents, to a race who’s entire leadership is potentially indoctrinated.

It just makes no sense that it is dismissed…..

      /end rant

The chapter is broken into two pieces. So we’ll most likely see the reactions next time.

Sorry, but my back has been acting up, and I didn’t want a 20k chapter with a small chapter after that. And in said chapter they do identify that as a big issue…

…but just imagine if you suddenly were given hard proof the Illuminati were real. It would throw you for a loop for a few minutes, even if the world was facing extermination by way of listening to John Tesh and Yoko Ono duets.
