But what is the in-universe reason for Cerberus to embark on this task of intelligence gathering, one that would appear resource-costly compared to just looking up on the Extranet, which contains everything about the galaxy save for classified things.

And in the process of outlining this, which concept (ex. history, psychology etc.) did you make first. I mean, which is the concept shaped the entire thing, which concept did the others branched out from.

So far, i’ve narrowed my assumptions to either psychology or culture since both are what shape a civilisation. I haven’t read anything about psychology yet but i’ve got a gut-feeling that it’s one of this two.
