Just a random idea.
There’s a lot of POVs going on in the stories, but most of them are from power players or people who are otherwise badass and/or important in their own way. Maybe add in a more average sort of character to put things into perspective and someone to just gawk at the -crazy- that happens? Like Conrad Verner (but not totally comic relief)
Something like…uh, a PI or someone who was hired independently to look into all the random colony disappearances and very quickly finds him/herself over their head could be interesting to follow in small bits and pieces. Someone who is independent from all the various power struggles and is just trying to get by and do their job. I recognize that such an average person might not be very survivable, but it could be interesting to see.

While I would certainly be interesting to read I’m already far overtasked with things to write already.
I would be overjoyed if someone were to take up such a challenge, though, and would provide any assistance I could.

I could potentially give it a shot, although I am a very slow writer. We could talk about it a little, maybe?
The general idea at the moment is to have him be hired by a relatively high ranking citizen on Earth (not a lord, but rich) to investigate the disappearance of his daughter, who was on one of the wildcat colonies that was targeted.
The character would be a former police officer turned Private Investigator, whose main skills lie in piecing together things.

What sort of time frame? Just before ME2 or at the start of the colony dissaparances, about six to seven months earlier?
Plot events are so shaky during and after ME2 right now that setting it later is unadvised.

Might be best to set it about the same time as Freedom’s Progress, so the character can follow events as they happen but be for the most part, one step behind and pretty frustrated about it.

If you want to take a stab at it I would be more than happy to help. More viewpoints = better verse.

Changing it around a little, and I have a question.
Who is currently heading up the N7? Would s/he be available for writing?

After Branson was elevated to High Admiral, Valerie Kyle was moved into First Fleet, and Delacor made a Spectre, the current N7 commander is actually a giant blank. I can’t find anything in my notes about them at all, so yes, they’re available — I have no plans for them at all.
